Hoyeon Premieres Na Hong-jin Thriller 'Hope' at Cannes

At the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, South Korean actress and model Hoyeon showcased her latest film, 'Hope', directed by Na Hong-jin. In this project, she stars alongside Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, and Hwang Jung-min, portraying the character Sung-ae, a novice police officer who collaborates with a police chief to combat a monster in a rural South Korean village. To prepare for her role, Hoyeon dedicated five to six months to training, which included physical conditioning, firearms handling, manual driving, and car action techniques. For the premiere and photo call, she donned Louis Vuitton, featuring a gray slip dress adorned with silver glass floral embroidery and a cream knit ensemble from the fall 2026 collection. 'Hope' is set for a theatrical release in the fall, and she has two more films in post-production.
