How to Time Travel at MMAG Foundation, Amman
The MMAG Foundation in Amman is putting on a group show called 'How to Time Travel,' curated by Rana Beiruti. This exhibition features works from Ranwa Abughoush and the MMAG team, along with various artists like Bady Dalloul, Hescham Alkarshan, and others. They explore feelings of alienation and displacement, presenting their art as 'homing devices' that help us connect and navigate our experiences. The idea of home is broadened to include personal stories and memories. Notable pieces include reimagined paintings, a unique deck of cards, and a book, blending reality with fiction through symbols like an olive tree and grandmotherly tales. Emad Zyoud will document the installations, with the exhibition launching in 2024.
