Hotel Nomade Exhibition Brings Nomadic Design to 18th-Century Palazzo in Galatina
The 'Hotel Nomade' exhibition is set to launch on August 13, 2018, at Palazzo dell'Elefante della Torre in Galatina, Italy. This showcase, curated by Antonio Ludovico Scolari and Christian Pizzinini, was envisioned by Ilaria Bona and draws its name from a work by Dutch author Cees Nooteboom. It delves into the theme of contemporary nomadism, featuring 12 mobile and transportable design pieces created by architects, designers, fashion innovators, and artists, mirroring the lives of freelancers who navigate various living and working environments. These installations are presented alongside the private collection of the 18th-century noble residence. The exhibition is open to the public on August 13, 18, and 19 from 7 to 10 PM, with visits by appointment on other days. Notable contributors include Hannes Peer, Giuliano Andrea Dell'Uva, and others.
