Hôtel Martinez to Star in White Lotus Season 4 Filming in Cannes
The Hôtel Martinez, an iconic Art Deco structure located on the Croisette in Cannes, will be a key filming site for Season 4 of Mike White's The White Lotus. Established in 1929 by Emmanuel Martinez, this seven-story hotel has been a favorite among celebrities during the Cannes Film Festival. After a renovation led by designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, completed in 2018, the interiors now feature soft ivory lacquer, pale marble, and sea-glass blues. Highlights include a grand staircase, a lobby bar adorned with a Cocteau-inspired mural, and La Plage du Martinez beach club, redesigned by Remi Tessier. The Michelin-starred La Palme d'Or reopened in 2024 with a cinematic flair. The seventh floor houses penthouses named after Isabelle Huppert and Thierry Fremaux, inaugurated in 2021. L'Oasis du Martinez, a botanical garden with a heated Yves Klein blue pool, received France's national landscape prize in 2024. Other filming locations will be Airelles Chateau de la Messardiere in Saint-Tropez and Mandarin Oriental Lutetia in Paris. Previous seasons featured Four Seasons hotels in Maui, Taormina, and Koh Samui.
