Hotel Indigo London K West Opens in Shepherd's Bush with 1970s Bohemian Design

In March 2026, the Hotel Indigo London K West was inaugurated in Shepherd's Bush, under the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). Previously known as Kensington House, the site was home to BBC recording studios and welcomed iconic artists like David Bowie and The Clash. The hotel's design, a joint effort by Scottish architecture firm Mosaic, experiential design studio Red Deer, and cultural curator ArtStory, draws inspiration from the local creative and musical scene. It boasts 231 rooms and suites across seven floors, including a premium room and a one-bedroom suite of 59 sq m. The Flock restaurant offers dishes such as N'duja scotch egg and mushroom pizza with bone marrow, while a 30-seat bar serves as the social hub. A spa, gym, and pool are set to open in September 2026, with attractions nearby like Next Door Records, Bush Theatre, Portobello Road Market, and Shepherd's Bush Market featuring food stalls like Archie's Doubles and Mr Dumpling. Terrazzo flooring crafted from reclaimed London stone, Bakelite telephones, Roberts radios, and sculptural pieces referencing recording equipment enhance the hotel's ambiance.
