Hôtel Bus Palladium opens in Paris with Studio KO design

architecture-design · 2026-05-13

The Bus Palladium, a legendary Parisian rock club opened in 1965 by dancer James Arch, has been transformed into a boutique hotel by Chapitre Six Hotels. The hotel, located at 6 Rue Pierre Fontaine in the 9th arrondissement, features 35 vintage-inspired rooms across five new storeys added by architecture firm Studio KO, founded by Karl Fournier and Olivier Marty. Artistic director Caroline de Maigret oversaw the scent, staff uniforms, and playlists. The restaurant is helmed by chef Valentin Raffali, a Top Chef France alum, who emphasizes zero-waste cuisine. The hotel's design includes cork walls, raw concrete ceilings, and a rooftop with views of Sacré-Cœur and Palais Garnier. The Dalí Suite, at 70 sq m, is the largest room, featuring a Murphy bed and midcentury furniture. The lower ground floor retains the original concert hall, programmed by Lionel Bensemoun, with live acts from cabaret to film screenings. The hotel opened in spring 2026.
