Hope! Exhibition at Dinard's Palais des arts et du festival

The exhibition 'Hope!' at the Palais des arts et du festival in Dinard from June 12 to September 12, 2010, curated by Ashok Adicéam, presents 45 international artists, including six Iranians. Key works include Jean-Michel Othoniel's 'Bateau des larmes', Ugo Rondinone's 'Guided by Voices', Bill Viola's 'Incarnation', Alighiero e Boetti's 'Mappa' (1971), Mona Hatoum's globe with red neon conflict markers, Giacometti's 'Homme qui marche', Martial Raysse's 'Ménis le pécheur' and 'Liberté chérie', Bas Jan Ader's 'In Search of the Miraculous', Matthew Day Jackson's bronze life raft, works by Allora and Calzadilla, Paola Pivi, Charly Nijensohn, Reza Aramesh, Wim Wenders (Ground Zero, Nov 8, 2001), Yan Pei Ming's Obama portrait, Damien Hirst's butterfly stained glass, Murakami's flower tondo, Pierre et Gilles' Madonna and child, and Mark Wallinger's 'International Arrivals' (shown at Nuit Blanche 2009). The exhibition emphasizes emotion and spirituality, referencing Catherine Grenier's 'La Revanche des émotions' and quotes from Édouard Glissant, Ibn-Al-Arabi, Homer, Dante, and Chateaubriand.
