Hong Kong Telecom's Linus Cheung joins Sotheby's board as Chinese art collector

Sotheby’s has added Linus Cheung to its board of directors. Cheung, a passionate collector of Chinese art, previously served as the CEO of Hong Kong Telecom from 1994 to 2000. After that, he became the executive chairman of Asia Television Limited for a short period from 2008 to 2009. Following the merger with Pacific Century Cyberworks in 2000, he was deputy chairman at PCCW until 2004. Before his telecom career, Cheung spent 23 years at Cathay Pacific Airways, where he rose to the position of deputy CEO. His experience and reputation will strengthen Sotheby’s board with a prominent figure from the Asian business scene.
