Homo Faber 2018: A Celebration of European Craftsmanship on San Giorgio Maggiore
Since September 2018, the Homo Faber exhibition has been transforming the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice into a 4,000-square-meter display of European craftsmanship. Organized by the Michelangelo Foundation, established by Johann Rupert and Franco Cologni, the exhibition features 16 thematic pathways, including Susanna Pozzoli's installation titled 'Venetian way.' Notable attractions include the Cenacolo Palladiano, showcasing eight distinctive pieces by Michele De Lucchi, Talenti Rari highlighting rare crafts, L'Evoluzione della Forma with fifty vases, and the restored 1936 bermudian ketch Eilean. Additional sections encompass Le Stanze del Vetro, Talento Naturale, Scoprire… Riscoprire, Doppia Firma, Poesia del Legno, Incantevoli Ricami, and Best of Europe, exhibiting works from over 150 artisans.
