Holly Roussell Appointed Curator at UCCA Center for Contemporary Art
Holly Roussell has been named curator at the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, a move that aligns with the institution's growth and the recent hiring of Peter Eleey as curator-at-large. Established in Beijing in 2007, UCCA has broadened its reach with the opening of UCCA Dune in Aranya, Beidaihe (2018) and UCCA Edge in Shanghai (May 2021). Roussell, who works in both Switzerland and China, focuses on photography and contemporary Chinese art. She has previously managed traveling exhibitions and the Prix Elysée at the Swiss Musée de l'Elysée from 2013 to 2017, organizing over 20 exhibitions. In 2022, she will serve as International Curatorial Researcher in residence at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul, aiming to enhance the global perspective of Chinese contemporary art.
