Holland Festival 2026 announces Hildur Guðnadóttir as associate artist

The 79th Holland Festival is scheduled for June 3-28, 2026, showcasing approximately 100 performances across diverse artistic disciplines, including dance, theater, music, opera, and film. Hildur Guðnadóttir, an acclaimed Icelandic composer and cellist, will serve as the festival's eighth associate artist, leading a new collaborative project centered on empathy, listening, and transformation, which will shape the festival's overall programming. Featured artists include Laurie Anderson, Ana Pi, and Meredith Monk, among others. For the first time, Heerlen will host various workshops, discussions, urban explorations, and film screenings, contributing to a total of 104 performance events.
