Historic Milan Tram Takes Children on Art Discovery Tour

On September 10, 2022, at 10:00 AM, a historic Milan tram will depart from Piazza Castello for an interactive tour designed to introduce children to the city's art and culture. The initiative celebrates the publication of the activity book "Racconti Straordinari di Città per Sognatori e Sognatrici" by the cultural association iAC – innovActionCult and the Pleiadi Group scientists. The book features famous artists and figures linked to Milan—including Gae Aulenti, Leonardo da Vinci, Achille Castiglioni, Bruno Munari, and Alda Merini—and engages young readers through monuments, museums, and artworks. The tram ride mirrors the book's spirit, with stops guiding children through art, culture, and science using laboratory-based teaching methods. Funded by the Fondazione Maurizio Fragiacomo for the city of Milan under the 2022 Arte e Cultura call, the project will print and distribute 225 copies of the book starting in October to primary schools, children's libraries, museums, and cultural institutions in Milan. The activity book is available in both print and digital formats via a downloadable kit. Additionally, a workshop for children aged 5–10 will be held on September 24 at 5:30 PM at Parco della Biblioteca Chiesa Rossa during the Festival delle Abilità.
