Hiền Hoàng Wins Foam Paul Huf Award 2024
Hiền Hoàng, a Berlin-based artist, has been honored with the 2024 Foam Paul Huf Award, as announced by the Foam photography museum in Amsterdam. She was selected by an independent jury from a competitive group of nine finalists, which featured names like Eleonora Agostini and Hicham Gardaf. Hoàng's impactful work, which delves into themes of self-fetishization related to racial and sexual stereotypes in Germany, was also showcased in ArtReview's Future Greats. This prestigious award, now in its 18th year, includes a €20,000 prize and a solo exhibition at Foam slated for 2025. Additionally, Hoda Afshar received recognition for her project on women's rights in Iran. Previous winners include Mikhael Subotzky and Alex Prager.
