Hermès Carré Club in Dubai Features Gianpaolo Pagni's Stamp Drawings on Silk

exhibition · 2026-04-22

In January, the Hermès Carré Club took place at Concrete in Alserkal Avenue, Dubai, showcasing engaging installations from the brand's collaborators. Gianpaolo Pagni enriched Hermès' narratives by applying his signature stamps to silk scarves. Describing the gathering as both immersive and friendly, Pierre-Alexis Dumas, the artistic director of Hermès, highlighted its unique atmosphere. The iconic Hermès silk square scarf was first introduced in 1937 alongside Jeu des Omnibus et Dames blanches. Pagni revisits classic designs like Ex Libris and Astrologie, translating his stamping methods from paper to silk. A collaborator with Hermès since 2011, beginning with Tamponnable, his art focuses on memory and reinterpretation through various colors and materials. Dubai marked his inaugural celebration of silk's elegance.
