Hermès Artisans Demonstrate Craftsmanship at OGR Turin Exhibition
Hermès presents 'Hermès in the making' at OGR Turin until May 29, 2022, featuring 11 artisans from the French maison demonstrating the creation of iconic pieces like the Kelly bag, Birkin bag, and silk carré. The interactive exhibition, previously known as The Hermès Festival des Métiers, allows visitors to try leather sewing, jewelry setting, watchmaking, and porcelain painting. Turin is the second stop after Copenhagen (October 2021) and the only Italian city hosting the event. Francesca di Carrobio, CEO of Hermès Italia, emphasizes the return to craftsmanship as a future profession. Olivier Fournier, Vice President of Hermès Group and President of Fondation d'entreprise Hermès, notes the recruitment potential among visitors. The next stop will be Kyoto, Japan. The exhibition transforms the former train repair workshop into a playful space where products are repaired and created, blending heritage with contemporary interaction.
