The Art of Anime, Vol. VIII Signature Auction by Heritage Auctions took place from May 15 to 17, achieving a remarkable total of $2.5 million, thus establishing a new global record for auctions centered on Animation Art related to anime. This figure eclipsed the former record of $1.48 million, underscoring the increasing worldwide interest in original anime production artwork. Over the course of three days, the auction showcased 1,206 lots, all of which sold, attracting 2,665 bidders from around the globe.
