Puerto Rican artist Heriberto Nieves presents his most intimate project to date, 'Regreso al Origen' (Return to the Origin), a deeply personal exploration of memory, family, and cultural heritage. The project, previewed by Arte al Límite, centers on his mother as an emotional root and the living legacy of his ancestors. Nieves recalls childhood experiences in his father's tobacco workshop in Vega Alta, where the strong aroma of tobacco leaves permeated his body, leaving a trace of an untold story. In this emotional return to Vega Alta, his signature materials—gold, rust, and monumental metal circles—acquire new meaning, serving as traces of time and reflections of Puerto Rico's light.
