Henry Sanchez Curates Geo Loco Exhibition at Outpost Resources Featuring Multimedia Mural on Newtown Creek

Henry Sanchez serves as curator for the group exhibition Geo Loco at Outpost Resources, a digital arts venue and residency program located on the Queens/Brooklyn border at 1665 Norman Street between Cypress and Wyckoff avenues in Queens, New York. The exhibition includes five artists: Phil Buehler, Carla Gannis, Eve Andree Laramee, Eto Otitigbe, and Sanchez himself. Sanchez contributes his own multimedia mural titled NTWKDKMCEK from 2011, measuring 120 x 240 x 20 inches and composed of LCD monitors, adhesive synthetic paper, and mixed media. This piece documents a walk along Newtown Creek, capturing video of birdlife in the industrialized waterway through digital interventions and wiring.
