Henry Peter Appointed New President of MASI Lugano Foundation
Henry Peter has been appointed as the new president of Fondazione MASI in Lugano, taking over from Carmen Giménez, who has led the organization since its inception in 2015. His presidency will commence on January 1, 2024. Since 1998, Peter has been a professor at the University of Geneva and is the director of its multidisciplinary center for philanthropy. He has been a member of MASI's foundation council since 2015. Marina Carobbio Guscetti commended Peter's expertise for the institution's development. Peter expressed his gratitude for succeeding Giménez and outlined plans for the 2024 season, which includes a significant exhibition dedicated to Swiss photographer Ernst Scheidegger in February and a solo display of Shahryar Nashat. MASI, founded in 2015, is located at the LAC cultural center and Palazzo Reali, showcasing the Giancarlo and Danna Olgiati Collection.
