Hello Spank animated film to debut in Italian cinemas for Valentine's Day 2025
The classic anime character Hello Spank returns to the big screen for the first time in Italy. From February 13 to 16, 2025, the feature film "Le pene d'amore di Spank" will be screened in Italian cinemas as part of the Anime al Cinema season by Nexo Studios. Produced in 1982 by Yamato Video, the film has never before been shown in theaters. It follows the first love of the dog Spank for the female dog Anna, created by Shun'ichi Yukimuro and Shizue Takanashi. The original manga was published in 1979, later adapted into a successful anime series with over 60 episodes, becoming an international media phenomenon and franchise. The screening marks the debut of Nexo Studios' exclusive project dedicated to Japanese animation. The list of participating cinemas will be available from January 16.
