Helidon Xhixha and Giacomo Braglia's Twin Bottle Installation Reaches Monaco

During the global lockdown, artists Helidon Xhixha and Giacomo "Jack" Braglia transported their site-specific installation "The Twin Bottle: Message in a Bottle" to the Yacht Club of Monaco for the Monaco Ocean Club Week, an event focused on marine ecosystem conservation. The large metal sculptures, created through a fusion of steel sculpture and 3D photography, represent two plastic bottles floating on water—one mirror-polished reflecting its surroundings, the other covered with photographic images of plastic waste. The work began its journey from the Canal Grande in front of Palazzo Ca' Vendramin Calergi in Venice in July 2019, then moved to Milan's Triennale in December 2019.
