Helen Marten's '30 Blizzards' Performance at Miu Miu for Art Basel Paris

Helen Marten, a British artist born in Macclesfield in 1985, will showcase '30 Blizzards', a performance exhibition at Palais d'Iéna in Paris from October 22 to 26, 2025. This event is part of Miu Miu's collaboration with the Art Basel Paris Public Program. It represents Marten's debut performance, integrating five sculptures with five new videos that illustrate various life stages, from childhood to old age. The exhibition's title alludes to 30 characters that animate the space through music and dialogue, symbolizing the concept of infinity. Collaborating with director Fabio Cherstich and composer Beatrice Dillon, the performance includes a dynamic industrial soundtrack and a civic stage. Marten, a recipient of both the Turner Prize and Hepworth Prize, noted that 'blizzard' signifies an overload of information, commending Miu Miu and Miuccia Prada's cultural influence.
