Heith on Music as Ritual and Escapism

Milan-based electronic producer Heith, co-founder of Haunter Records, returns to PAN with the EP 'The Liars Tell…', a more ambient work focusing on voice. Following his 2022 debut album 'X, Wheel' on PAN, praised for its rich musical influences, Heith discusses his escapist vision and creative process. The EP includes reworked tracks from 'X, Wheel', adapted for live performances with other musicians. Heith emphasizes the ritualistic and spiritual aspects of music, inspired by a 2017 trip to Indonesia where he collaborated with the Tarawangsawelas traditional music group from Bandung University. His artistic identity blends electronic and instrumental music, drawing from his early band experiences. Heith views music as a form of fiction that creates a suspension of reality, aiming to disrupt and transport audiences.
