Hedi Slimane's Celine Boutique Merges Luxury Fashion with Contemporary Art on Bond Street

architecture-design · 2026-04-22

Hedi Slimane, the creative director of Celine, has reimagined the New Bond Street boutique in London, which debuted in November of the previous year. Spanning 345m2, the ground floor showcases a sleek Parisian salon characterized by black marble flooring and white walls, dedicated to women's fashion. Slimane has integrated brutalist designs by Jean Touret and Verner Panton with modern art pieces, including commissioned works by Nika Neelova and Leilah Babirye that explore themes of identity and human rights. The basement presents a cozy area featuring Davina Semo's Generator and Mel Kendrick's 2 Holes. Men's fitting rooms boast a wooden screen library and an oil portrait of Maximilien de Béthune, while an octagonal section is reserved for Celine Haute Parfumerie, retaining antique elements from the Edwardian structure.
