Heatherwick Studio Unveils AlUla Manara Observatory for Saudi Desert
AlUla Manara, a sculptural center for astrotourism, has been introduced by Heatherwick Studio in north-west Saudi Arabia, close to AlUla. Chosen by the Royal Commission for AlUla through an international design competition, this center will be part of one of the area's initial Dark Sky Parks. Its design incorporates spiraling shapes that mimic telescopes, featuring three interlinked structures adorned with stone cladding.
