Hawai'i Triennial 2025 Curatorial Team Announced
Hawai‘i Contemporary has appointed Wassan Al-Khudhairi, Binna Choi, and Noelle MKY Kahanu as the curatorial team for the upcoming 2025 Hawai‘i Triennial. Al-Khudhairi, known for establishing the Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, also serves as an independent curator and advisor at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis and is developing a new exhibit for the Misk Art Institute. Choi is the director of the Casco Art Institute in Utrecht, previously co-directing the 2022 Singapore Biennale and overseeing the 11th Gwangju Biennale. Kahanu, associated with the University of Hawai‘i, specializes in Public Humanities and has advised the US Senate Committee on Indian Affairs.
