Hauser & Wirth to launch Hong Kong gallery in 2018, expanding Asian presence with offices in Beijing and Shanghai

Hauser & Wirth will open a new gallery in Hong Kong during Spring 2018. The two-storey, 930-square-meter space is situated within Central's H Queens development. Architect Annabella Selldorf, a long-time collaborator since 1996, will design the gallery interior. Vanessa Guo, the gallery's senior director for Asia, and Lihsin Tsai, previously managing Shanghai's Qiao Space, will co-direct the Hong Kong location. Iwan Wirth confirmed the expansion, which includes establishing two additional offices in Beijing and Shanghai. These offices are planned to become operational from October 2017. The Hong Kong gallery's structure was designed by CL3 Architects.
