Hauser & Wirth Partners with June Art Fair for Virtual Edition, Expands Digital and Community Initiatives
The June Art Fair's second edition will take place online from August 20 to 31, 2020, hosted on Hauser & Wirth's platform with the backing of ArtReview. This digital event comes after the cancellation of the 2020 live fair. Established by Christian Andersen and VI, VII, the fair showcases 16 galleries, each highlighting a single artist. Participating galleries hail from cities including Oslo, Athens, Copenhagen, Vienna, Chicago, San Juan, Hong Kong, Dubai, Milwaukee, Mexico City, Tokyo, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam. Since mid-March 2020, Hauser & Wirth has pledged 10% of its online sales profits to the WHO. Additionally, the gallery is involved in educational projects with CalArts and has exhibitions in Somerset and Los Angeles, alongside a new physical location that opened in Southampton, New York, in July 2020.
