Hauser & Wirth and ArtReview Launch Write Now Writer's Residency in Somerset

Hauser & Wirth Somerset will host the Write Now writer's residency from 29 April to 13 May 2024, created in partnership with ArtReview. This new program complements the gallery's existing artist residencies that began in 2013. Selected writers aged 18-35 and based in the UK will receive mentorship from both ArtReview's editorial team and Hauser & Wirth staff. Participants must submit a cover letter, CV, and two writing samples under 1,000 words each by 29 February to somerset@artreview.com. The residency provides accommodation, per diem, and travel allowances. Writers will engage with resident artists, the natural environment at Durslade Farm, and local communities. A public presentation or workshop in Somerset is required, along with a final text up to 1,200 words published on artreview.com. Since 2013, Hauser & Wirth Somerset has facilitated 44 artist residencies through initiatives led by Iwan & Manuela Wirth and Marc Payot.
