Haunting Spells at C+N Gallery CANEPANERI revives Claudio Costa's ritual practices

The C+N Gallery CANEPANERI in Milan is hosting the group exhibition 'Haunting Spells. Fare mondi altrimenti,' which will be on display until July 28, 2025. Curated by Arnold Braho, the show showcases the talents of five up-and-coming Italian artists: Alessandro Di Lorenzo (b. 1997), Peng Shuai Paolo (b. 1995), Sofia Salazar Rosales (b. 1999), Stefano Serretta (b. 1987), and Ginevra Petrozzi (b. 1997). Drawing inspiration from the late Claudio Costa (Tirana, 1942 – Genoa, 1995), the exhibition delves into themes of mythology, alchemy, and anthropology. Highlighted works include Di Lorenzo's sculpture, Salazar Rosales's 'Sentinel,' Serretta's 'STRESS,' Petrozzi's 'Congregation of Mysteries,' and Paolo's 'Inner Etnobotanic Cartography,' with Costa's 1978 piece 'Il cielo, guardando…' marking the exhibition's opening.
