Hashtag: New TV Format on Sky Channel 868 Explores Contemporary Art

A new television format called Hashtag has launched on Sky channel 868, airing weekly on Mondays at 9 PM and also available on the YouTube channel Hashtag Produzioni. The show, hosted by a character named HashtagMan, takes a performative journey through major Italian and international art venues, including fairs like Artissima, miart, Arte Fiera Bologna, and Art Basel, as well as museums such as Maxxi, Macro, the Guggenheim in Venice, Castello di Rivoli, MAMbo, Hangar Bicocca in Milan, Palazzo Reale, Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea in Milan, Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, Punta della Dogana, Palazzo Grassi, Fondazione Beyeler, and Museo Tinguely. HashtagMan uses costumes, such as a sumo wrestler outfit first worn at Art Basel's Unlimited section, as narrative devices to reflect on art market dynamics and the spiritual essence of contemporary art. The show aims to break away from elitist art presentation, offering a light but not superficial approach to art education.
