Hasan Yiğit's Trace, Transfer, Transform at Versus Arts London

Turkish artist Hasan Yiğit held a solo exhibition titled Trace, Transfer, Transform at Versus Arts London from June 27 to July 3, 2026. Curated by Ilayda Uzunarslan, the show featured vibrant monotype prints in bold primary colors, merging abstract expressionist painterly techniques with conventional printmaking. Yiğit, born in Bursa, Turkey, and having lived in the UK and Thailand, draws on his international perspective and memories. His circular prints, made on a 50-centimeter glass plate using water-based inks, evoke landscapes and experiences. The works recall Jackson Pollock's dynamic application, Bryan Nash Gill's nature-inspired prints, and William Blake's early monotype experiments. Standout pieces like Transfer VIII demonstrate technical control and emotional depth, with red and blue palettes generating tension and contemplation. The exhibition marks a development from his earlier circular monotype show in Thailand, showing greater compositional confidence and a playful approach to abstraction.
