Harumo Sato's Porcelain Enamel Mural Unveiled at Mission Bay School

So, the San Francisco Arts Commission and the San Francisco Unified School District just had a ribbon-cutting event for Mission Bay School. They also unveiled a new mural called ZAWA ZAWA BUZZ BUZZ, which is 336 square feet and made from porcelain enamel tiles by local artist Harumo Sato. This mural is displayed on three walls at the school's east entrance, found at 1415 Owens Street. The name 'Zawa Zawa' captures the essence of life's whispers in Japanese, while 'Buzz Buzz' represents the harmony among creatures. It highlights the rich ecosystem of Mission Creek and San Francisco Bay, emphasizing the connection between different marine species. This artwork was commissioned during the school’s building phase and is now open for everyone to appreciate.
