Harold Offeh's sci-fi playscape opens at Tramway in September
This autumn, Tramway's front gallery will be reimagined by artist Harold Offeh as a sci-fi playscape. Titled The Mothership Collective 2:0, the installation invites individuals of all ages to envision possible futures through interactive stations that incorporate elements of sci-fi, futurism, and utopian ideas. The Glasgow Life venue promotes collaborative experiences that delve into various future scenarios using sound, text, and objects. This initiative revisits themes from Offeh's earlier work, The Mothership Collective, created in 2006, which featured collaboration with artists, dancers, and musicians, drawing inspiration from Afrofuturist mythology found in the music of George Clinton and Sun-Ra.
