Harmony Korine directs new Gucci campaign videos

other · 2026-05-04

Harmony Korine has directed two new video campaigns for Gucci, continuing his collaboration with creative director Alessandro Michele. The first video, released in May 2019 for Gucci Men's Tailoring, features Harry Styles in a bucolic setting with swans, pigs, and Greco-Roman statues. The second, titled #ComeAsYouAre_RSVP, was filmed at Villa La Furibonda, owned by Countess Marisela Federici, and features a party with celebrities including Angelo Bucarelli, Sienna Miller, Gucci Mane, and Iggy Pop. The video uses Giorgio Moroder's 1978 track "Chase" and shifts from the nostalgic VHS aesthetic of Korine's earlier work to vibrant pop colors reminiscent of his films Spring Breakers and The Beach Bum. The campaign reflects themes of hedonism and escapism, blending classicism with contemporary decadence. Korine previously shot Gucci's Pre-Fall 2019 campaign at Pompeii and Herculaneum in December 2018, which also became a limited-edition book.
