Haringey Unearthed Opens £500,000 Grant Fund for London Borough of Culture 2027

Haringey Unearthed, a prominent grants initiative from Haringey Culture Collective, has been introduced to allocate a minimum of £500,000 to artists, collectives, and grassroots organizations. Funding amounts will vary from £700 to £40,000 for projects that reflect the borough's narratives, communities, and radical past. This initiative coincides with Haringey's designation as London Borough of Culture, set to commence in May 2027. Backed by the Mayor of London, the program emphasizes support for communities traditionally overlooked in cultural funding, such as Latine, Black British, African and Caribbean, Turkish and/or Kurdish, LGBTQI+, disabled individuals, youth, and seniors. The first application period opens on June 1 and concludes on June 30, with additional cycles every three months until March 2028. Clara Dublanc, CEO of Haringey Culture Collective, described the launch as a significant achievement and urged local artists to participate.
