Hardel Le Bihan Architectes Designs Student Residences for UCAD Dakar

The Senegalese state has commissioned AMSA Realty SA, the real estate subsidiary of insurer AMSA, to develop around ten student residences to accommodate 10,000 additional students at the Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD) campus and the Claudel sector in Dakar. This initiative, ongoing since 2015, responds to growing demand and aims to improve living conditions on campus. The project management has been entrusted to the REDMAN group and its local agency, while architectural design is led by HARDEL LE BIHAN ARCHITECTES in collaboration with Dakar-based ALUN BE studio and landscape firm Niez Studio. The project covers a total area of 120,000 square meters and is slated for completion in 2024. Key team members include project leaders Sara Impera, Clément Bertin, and Davide Galli, with structural engineering by Elioth, environmental and climate engineering by Solutech, civil works by SC Afrique, and cost engineering by Vpeas.
