Hans Ulrich Obrist to Lead Jury for 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale

The jury for the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, curated by Carlo Ratti, has been revealed. Leading the jury as president is Hans Ulrich Obrist, the artistic director at London's Serpentine, alongside Paola Antonelli from MoMA and South African architect Mpho Matsipa. This year's jury has been streamlined from five members in 2021 and 2023 and will assess 66 national pavilions. Awards include the Golden Lion for Best National Participation, the Golden Lion for the top contribution to 'Intelligens. Naturale. Artificiale. Collettiva,' and the Silver Lion for an emerging participant, with the possibility of special mentions. The awards ceremony is scheduled for May 10, 2025. Donna Haraway received the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement, while Italo Rota was honored with a Special Golden Lion.
