Hans Ulrich Obrist and Adam Thirlwell Discuss Literature and Identity at London Gallery

This Wednesday, May 22, there’s an interesting talk happening at Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac in London featuring novelist Adam Thirlwell and Hans Ulrich Obrist. The event, running from 5 to 6 pm, is part of the United Artists for Europe initiative and will explore literature as a tool for multilingual expression. They'll touch on topics like creolisation, the concept of portable Europes, and how diverse identities come together. Thirlwell's books, including Politics, The Escape, and Lurid & Cute, have been translated into 30 languages. He received the EM Forster Award in 2015 and was named a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2018. Currently, he’s collaborating with Obrist on Studio Créole for the 2019 Manchester International Festival. As the artistic director of the Serpentine Galleries, Obrist is part of this event, which offers free tickets with prior registration through ArtReview.
