Hans P. Kraus Jr. summer show explores early water photography

The summer exhibition 'Untroubled Waters: Navigating Early Photographs' is presented by Hans P. Kraus Jr. and will be open until 20 August 2026. This showcase includes works from British and French photographers such as William Henry Fox Talbot, Gustave Le Gray, Charles Nègre, Paul-Marcellin Berthier, Robert Howlett, and J. B. Greene, featuring scenes of boatyards, bridges, seashores, and waterways. Notably, Talbot's 1831 photograph of the Bridge of Sighs over the River Cam in Cambridge stands out, as he captured the structure during a fleeting moment of deep shadow to highlight the interplay of light.
