Hank Willis Thomas and collaborators explore American identity at OMAA
From April 10 to July 19, 2026, the Ogunquit Museum of American Art (OMAA) will present the exhibition 'Looking for America.' This showcase features acclaimed artist Hank Willis Thomas and, for the first time, a group of artists he has partnered with, including Chris Bernsten, Adam Easterling, Sam Giarratani, and Jennifer Ho. In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the exhibition examines the significance of creative communities and raises the question: What does it mean to search for America, and whose version are we pursuing? The diverse group of artists, connected through years of collaboration and shared studio experiences, offers a collective exploration shaped by dialogue and the exchange of ideas.
