Handmade amusement park in Treviso draws 50,000 visitors yearly
Bruno Ferrin, owner with his wife Marisa of Osteria ai Pioppi in Nervesa della Battaglia, Treviso, has built a fully handmade amusement park. The park features about forty metal rides, all designed and constructed by hand, operating without electricity—activated manually, by pedaling, or using body weight. Attractions include slides, trampolines, punch machines, roller coasters, and a game inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man. Over 50,000 people visit annually. Ferrin says he draws inspiration from the movements of nature and animals. The project began in 1969. The park is free for Osteria customers, open weekends year-round and all day in summer.
