Halcyon unveils electric restomod Rolls-Royce Corniche 'Highland Heather'

architecture-design · 2026-04-19

Halcyon, a Surrey-based outfit founded by ex-Lunaz alumni Charlie Metcalfe (COO), Matthew Pearson (CEO), and Will Burdett (CTO), has launched its first project, the Genesis Series: an electric restomod of a 1970s Rolls-Royce Corniche named 'Highland Heather' for its purple bodywork. The original V8 is replaced with an electric powertrain offering two battery options (77kWh standard or 94kWh long-range), delivering around 500hp and a 250-mile range. Halcyon will only convert Corniches built between 1976 and 1979, sourcing donor cars primarily from California. The interior is fully redesigned with a hidden screen for navigation and CarPlay, while retaining period aesthetics. Halcyon also offers the Great Eight Series, a V8-powered version with a 6.75l engine, showcased by the 'Rose and Scroll Commission' in Arboretum Green. Each remaster takes about 5,000 hours. Prices start from £425,000 plus donor vehicle and taxes. Key markets include the Middle East and US West Coast.
