Haegue Yang Wins Republic of Korea Culture and Arts Award

Haegue Yang has been awarded the Republic of Korea Culture and Arts Award in visual arts by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea, acknowledging her profound influence on contemporary Korean art. This recognition was announced alongside awards in other areas, including General Culture, Literature, Music, and Theatre/Dance. Yang's year has been remarkable, having received the Wolfgang Hahn Prize in September and presenting her first mid-career retrospective titled Haegue Yang: ETA 1994-2018 at Museum Ludwig in Cologne. Additionally, she participated in both the 21st Biennale of Sydney and the Liverpool Biennial. Currently, her solo exhibitions are on display at La Panacée – MoCo in Montpellier until January 13, 2019, and at La Triennale di Milano until November 4.
