Hackatao's CryptoArt Revolution at Galleria Zanini in Mantua

The duo Hackatao, composed of Sergio Scalet (born 1973 in Transacqua) and Nadia Squarci (born 1977 in Udine), pioneers of CryptoArt in Italy and globally, present their solo exhibition 'The truth is' at Galleria Zanini Arte in San Benedetto Po, Mantua. The artists, who left chaotic Milan for the uncontaminated Friulian village of Oltris, create works that are infinitely reproducible yet tokenized as unique via blockchain cryptographic codes, targeting new collectors willing to buy digital certificates. Their Podmork creatures—alien entities between Street Art and manga—evolved from pocket-sized Art Toys into soft, totemic sculptures that explore inner worlds and alleviate human fears. The exhibition denounces media falsehoods and postmodern anxieties, positioning creative act as an antidote. The artists delve into mathematical algorithms and philosophy to find remnants of absolute truth, adapting them to an individualistic, changing universe of the inexact and improbable.
