Habits Design’s Light Bites Turns Dining into Interactive Light Performance

Habits Design, an industrial design studio based in Milan and established in 2004 by Innocenzo Rifino and Diego Rossi, has introduced Light Bites, a collection of interactive luminous tableware that transforms dining into a synchronized light spectacle. This collection showcases Dehua white porcelain dishes equipped with concealed sensors that react instantly to food, arrangement, and human movements, producing vibrant light patterns and glowing gradients. Each piece acts as a small installation, offering a multisensory experience that fuses gastronomy, design, and technology. Light Bites seeks to create a new sensory language for intimate meals, enhancing human connections through interactive lighting. The project redefines dining as a modern ritual, where every touch elicits a visual response, making the act of eating an engaging dialogue.
