HabitArt Architecture Studio Completes Kripanilay House in Shoolagiri
HabitArt Architecture Studio, led by Aditya Venkat, has completed Kripanilay, a 242-square-meter house in Shoolagiri, India, within the Sanctity Ferme agricultural community. The project, curated by Miwa Negoro, responds to the region's hot, dry climate, where summer temperatures reach 45°C. The design prioritizes heat, light, and air as primary determinants, integrating sustainable materials and local craftsmanship. Key collaborators include Rochana R. as associate for design and project management, Thejas KS for design and plans, and structural consultant Anvika Structures. The house features Kota flooring, Hindware sanitaryware, and windows from WinDoors Tech LLP, among other suppliers. Photography is by Gobinath Dinakaran.
