H Moser & Cie and Reebok Collaborate on Streamliner Pump Watch

H Moser & Cie has introduced the Streamliner Pump, a timepiece that incorporates the inflatable technology of the renowned Reebok Pump sneaker into its winding mechanism. This partnership initiated in 2023 when Authentic Brands Group, which took over Reebok in 2022, reached out to the watchmaker. Initially, Co-CEO Bertrand Meylan was skeptical but later reminisced about his Reebok Pumps from three decades prior. The original Reebok Pump debuted in 1989 as the priciest sneaker of its time, featuring a hand-pump button for a tailored fit. Over 18 months, H Moser modified its automatic HMC 500 movement to develop a pump-action winding system. An orange anodized aluminum pusher, echoing the sneaker's inflator, winds the watch and triggers a power reserve indicator, preventing overwinding. The Streamliner Pump is offered in 250 editions of matte black and 250 in white forged quartz fiber, each accompanied by a matching pair of low-top Reebok Pumps, with Reebok ensuring ample sizing. Meylan likens the pump action to a fidget toy, emphasizing that luxury can be approachable.
