H.H. Lim's Rebus-Like Works on View at Casa Morra in Naples

In Naples, Casa Morra is currently showcasing a solo exhibition by H.H. Lim, an artist originally from Malaysia and now based in Italy, entitled "Un millesimo di secondo fa" (A Thousandth of a Second Ago). Curated by Giuseppe Morra and Antonello Tolve, the exhibition fills the entire piano nobile of the historic palazzo, which also features permanent works by artists like Hermann Nitsch and Allan Kaprow. Lim's art merges objects, signs, and language, forming open-ended visual puzzles that delve into concepts of time and memory. Highlighted pieces include "Testardo nella visione flessibile" (2025) and "Emotional crisis" (2015), reflecting personal themes. The exhibition is organized into thematic rooms, fostering a dialogue between the spiritual and the material. Lim is also the founder of Edicola Notte, an independent exhibition venue in Trastevere, Rome, which has hosted numerous artists for over 25 years. The exhibition continues until a yet-to-be-determined date.
