Gypsum Gallery Marks 10 Years with Group Show Benefiting Gaza Orphans
In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Gypsum Gallery in Cairo is hosting 'Long Story Short,' a summer group exhibition. This showcase includes the works of 21 artists associated with the gallery and its collaborators, with pieces created between 2001 and 2024. Featured mediums encompass drawing, painting, collage, textile, mixed media, photography, and digital art. The exhibition delves into themes such as the body within social and political frameworks, architectural deconstruction, and objects of memory. A portion of the sales will benefit Taawon’s Orphan Gaza Care Program, which aids children orphaned during the 2023/2024 attacks on Gaza.
